Spotify Finally appears on the Apple App Store for Ipod and iPhone users (Firmware v3.0)

As assumed, the application is FREE but you need to subscribe to the Spotify premium service to use the application on the iPhone.

Curiously the Post Date says 26 August 2009….. Obviously this isn;t the date that Spotify submitted the app, or that it became available on the App Store itself….. Will keep you posted with any news.

One giant leap for AppStore….. Now, can we please have VOIP apps on iPhone Apple?

Everybody knows that spotify the iPhone app has been with apple for approval for a very long time (over 4 weeks) and is probably one of the longest approval process apple has given to any app. Rumour has it that Apple have approved this app and that it will be available within the next week. Watch this space.

As promised by Apple and O2 earlier today.  Apple have released a patch for the SMS vulnerability which was demonstrated at the Black Hat Conference yesterday.

Apple had said “we appreciate the information provided to us about SMS vulnerabilities that affect several mobile phone platforms. This morning, less than 24 hours after a demonstration of this exploit, we’ve issued a free software update that eliminates the vulnerability from the iPhone. Contrary to what’s been reported, no one has been able to take control of the iPhone to gain access to personal information using this exploit.”

The patch is released as a software update on iTunes v3.01 and can be downloaded as of now.  Obviously this is a highly recommended software update so if you have an iPhone, iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS then go an get it updated now!
